Veteran actress Doris Roberts passed away in her sleep last Sunday ,bringing to an end her six-decade-long association with the entertainment industry. She was 90. A popular name in the television and film industries, Doris is perhaps best remembered for playing the role of the protagonist’s overbearing mother Marie Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond. Her performance received rave reviews and helped her bag as many four Emmy awards.
