Kareena Kapoor Khan has been quite vocal about her thoughts and never minces her words when it comes to talking about issues which are discussed in the country.
The actress, who was present for the HT Summit, yesterday in Delhi, spoke candidly to NDTV about her opinion on this entire debate women being objectified in Bollywood and how 'item numbers' are objectifying woman.
"I don't think women are objectified. It is pretty hypocritical because we say we don't want the item songs and every night club, party, wedding, mehendi ceremony all you are listening to is Baby Doll and all item songs from Chikni Chameli to Fevicol. So I don't understand why people just don't like to accept it. I mean the same people who are asking to stop this (making item songs) are playing it at their wedding. From eons and time immemorial people have been doing songs and there is nothing disgraceful about it. In fact, when a film doesn't have songs, audience complain that gaana hona chahiye tha," opines Kareena Kapoor Khan.
