According to Kangana Ranaut, film business is not "a platform for charity".
The actress was speaking at the HT Leadership Summit when she was asked whether she had thought of making a film for charity. Kangana responded saying that she did not think of films as a business being a platform for charity. She said,
"I don't think films as a business is a platform for charity. We as people can contribute and we do contribute to many platforms... Sometime we talk about it sometimes we don't...you can't make a film for charity."
Imtiaz Ali also added to her statements and said that the film industry did its bit for charity,
"There are a lot of people in the film industry who are doing much (more) than you know. As much as charity is concerned the only thing is that we don't go around and publicise our charity."
