Since the very moment, it was declared that the third installment of Aashiqui was soon to take place, speculations over the casting of the lead pair of the film had been doing rounds for a long time.
Earlier this week, it was reported that there were high possibilities of Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor to have been roped in as the lead pair. But today, at an event, Sonam denied all rumours and said, "I haven't signed Aashiqui 3, though I am in talks with lot of people. Currently, I am only doing my sister's film." The actress was present at the trailer launch of her upcoming movie Neerja when she made this statement.
Sonam and her producer sister Rhea have earlier worked together in Aisha starring Abhay Deol and Khoobsurat starring Fawad Khan.
