According to a leading daily, Aditya Roy Kapoor has declined being in any relationship. The actor who has been linked with his Aashiqui 2 co-star Shraddha Kapoor was quick to squash all such rumours and categorically stated that he is single,
“I am single, there is no change in my relationship status and no complaints either. Being single isn't all that bad as you can be selfish and focus on yourself and your career. When in a relationship you are responsible for another person too. I don't want to commit unless I am absolutely ready."
Aditya was also quick to dismiss rumours of an exchange of rings between the two stars and joked that people seem to know more about him than he himself does, “I am not in the habit of putting a ring on my own finger. People seem to know more about me than I do."
Aditya is currently busy filming for Fitoor which is being directed by Abhishek Kapoor and also stars Katrina Kaif and Tabu who replaced the iconic Rekha. The actor talked about the movie as well and said, "This film required a lot of time and effort and all of us, when shooting it, felt we were doing something special. There's a certain vibe which makes me believe we will meet expectations. I did not get to spend too much time with Rekhaji but I learnt a lot just being in her presence.And Tabu is so subtle and felt in her performance that you don't realise what she's doing till you see her on screen. And then wow! For that matter, working with Katrina was inspiring too. Her mind works at lightning speed and yet there's a certain calm about her. She's seen it all before, so she never gets worked up."
Aditya also talked about the prospect of working with his sister-in-law Vidya Balan and stated that he someone wanted to cast them and if the script was good, he was up for it. Talking about the process of choosing a film, Aditya stated that he does not give his nod to a film unless he is sure he will enjoy the process of making it.
Aditya also talked about his new year plans and said that this time he would be ringing in the new year from Mumbai only as he did not want to take a break from his gym training, “I got into shape for Fitoor and now I want to maintain that level of fitness. But if I go away I will put on seven kilos in seven days and we'll be back to square one."
Although the actor refused to comment on the news of him being a part of Shaad Ali's remake of Mani Ratnam's O Kodhal Kanmani, the actor did state that he would love to feature in an action movie and exchange the rose for a gun and he shared that even Rohit Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor believe he would be good in a film like that.
