The first ever Indian Film Festival-Vietnam, which began in Ho Chi Minh City on 18th December, is seeing the screening of a number of popular and acclaimed Bollywood films like Maqbool, Dil Chahta Hai, Taare Zameen Par, 3 Idiots, Paheli, Wake Up Sid, Jodhaa Akbar, Oh My God and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
The 6 day festival has been organized by the Indian Embassy in Vietnam and the Directorate of Film Festivals - Ministry of I&B, Government of India. The event is being attended by known names like Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Umesh Shukla and producer Rahul Mitra.
According to Smt. Preeti Saran, the Indian Ambassador to Vietnam, the festival is an ideal way to introduce Indian cinema to the Vietnamese audience.
