Dabbang Khan ringed in his 50th birthday on 27th of December, 2015, with who’s who of Bollywood in attendance to wish Salman Khan. The quintessential bachelor of B-Town, Salman defies his age in every sense, and proves that age is just a number! In a recent interaction with a leading daily, post his birthday, the 50-year-old handsome actor spoke candidly about his age, his rumoured girlfriend Iulia and why Ghostbusters remake should be made with SRK, Amir and Saif and not him!
On being asked on it felt turning 50, the superstar shared, “I don’t feel the age at all. But recently, when I started training [for Sultan], I wasn’t able to do some of the stuff easily, which I could do effortlessly in the past. But then, I feel it’s (agility) all coming back. The muscle and mind memory is so amazing that it starts coming back on its own (when you need them.)”
Salman’s marriage rumour has always been the talk of the nation. On that front, the news doing the rounds about his ‘secret engagement’ news to Iulia Vântur, Khan shared, “At that time, I was like, ‘You should have let this rumour play on for some more time. Let us also find out what it leads to.’ If there has been no engagement, let’s at least enjoy rumours (laughs). May be, those rumours would have told us if we should go ahead [with marriage] or not (laughs). But No, there no wedding plans at all, nothing at all.”
About what SRK recently said that the three Khans could possibly do the Ghostbusters (1984) remake, Salman answered, “Aamir, SRK and Saif can do it. Or perhaps some other Khan can also be taken, maybe Kader (Khan; senior actor) bhai or Razak Khan (smiles). On a serious note, it’s quite a difficult proposition. Who will produce it, and who will finance it? More importantly, who will write the script? How will the roles be justified? Any two among the three of us might be able to do it ( a film together), but that too not at the moment. I think the three of us might do a film together at a stage when none of us has any work (smiles) Maybe, will make a film like Shaukeen (1962) orChina Town (1996) (laughs). Buddhey log saath mein but main nahin (old people working together but not me) (smiles).
