Actress Vidya Balan and husband Siddharth Roy Kapur had to cancel their plans to celebrate the New Year and Vidya's birthday (January 1st) at an undisclosed destination abroad. Apparently, as soon the couple boarded their flight from Abu Dhabi to their destination, minutes later while the aircraft was about to take off, Vidya suffered from shooting pain in her back. Reportedly, the pain was so severe that the paramedics were called on board and they were deplaned. Vidya was taken to a clinic at the airport for examination. Soon after, the couple took a flight back to Mumbai.
Upon return, Siddharth got Vidya admitted to the Khar Hinduja Hospital. Vidya is being treated for a suspected kidney stone and will be discharged soon. Said Vidya's spokesperson, “Vidya is currently in expert hands at Hinduja hospital and is well on her way to recovery.”
The couple has now had to cancel their New Year plans. We wish a speedy recovery for Vidya.
