Actress Vidya Balan, who was rushed to hospital for suspected kidney stones, yesterday, will be discharged tomorrow morning on New Year's Day. According to sources close to the actress, "Vidya is recovering well. She is feeling better now. She has done many tests and reports are awaited but a doctor who specialises in kidney-related issues, suspects that it is mostly kidney stone problem. She is in expert hands in the hospital. She has been advised to drink lot of fluids and rest for about a week. She can go home tomorrow morning.”
The National Award winner had plans to celebrate New Years and her birthday which falls onJanuary 1, with her husband Siddharth Roy Kapur abroad.The couple had already boarded a connecting flight from Abu Dhabi to their destination and while the aircraft was gearing for take-off, Vidya experienced shooting pain in her back. So severe was the pain that paramedics were called on board and they were deplaned.
Incidentally, Vidya had told Pinkvilla few days back that for the first time she will be away from her parents, her sister and family on New Years and on her birthday as she and her husband were going out of the country to celebrate, however, she had not disclosed the location. But unfortunately, the couple had to change their plans and return to Mumbai. Once she's discharged tomorrow morning, Vidya plans to celebrate the day with her family and friends.
