Sanjay Leela Bhansali is not only famous for his magnum opus and lavish sets but also for giving aspiring directors their first break under his wings.
After having given a big break to director Krish with Gabbar is Back and Omung Kumar with Mary Kom, Bhansali is all set to mark his hat-trick by launching Mukesh Chhabra, one of the leading casting directors for his next big untitled venture. Chhabra, having worked on Bajrangi Bhaijaan this year, seems to be really overwhelmed and excited but is completely tight-lipped about the project.
According to sources, "Bhansali believes that Chhabra will be a great director. His background in casting and foreseeing actors in certain characters, will add immensely to his experience in directing a film." Confirming the news says Chhabra, “Sanjay Sir is putting his trust in me and I am thankful to him. I am on the path of realizing my dream. It is too early to talk about what the film will be about; but I need to pull up my socks and get ready to play this new role. After casting for so many films for so many amazing directors, this is a huge opportunity for me." Bhansali further added, “I see immense potential in Mukesh as a filmmaker. His background in casting and foreseeing actors in characters, I believe, will work in his favour as a director."
SLB is currently busy with the promotions of Bajirao Mastani that is slated to release on 18th December.
