The current natural calamity struck in Chennai that has left many residents homeless and has uprooted the lives of some has disturbed the entire nation emotionally. This unfortunate scenario also seems to have emotionally moved India's superstar Rajinikanth since he has declared to donate a sum of Rs.10 lakh to to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund of the State.
According to a reports, an official statement from the actor said that the donation was paid through Sri Raghavendra Public Charitable Trust, owned by Rajinikanth. The superstar's son-in- law and actor Dhanush, has also donated Rs.5 lakh.
Other South Indian stars have also joined in and lent their support. Tollywood Actor Suriya and his brother Karthi have chipped in Rs.25 lakh while actor Vishal Krishna Reddy also has donated Rs.10 lakh.
